Artist Biography:

Robin was born in 1953 and has been painting for 25 years, intermittently, with phases of prolific creativity.
His Dreaming stories are centred on the site of Janyinki, and often depict the Seven Sisters, and Star Dreamings.
When he paints in the company of his wife, Alma Granites Nungurrayi, their themes are complementary, especially in relation to the night skies related to and Snake Vine Dreaming stories.

Robin’s strongest style is iconic using bold and traditional colours, with energetic contrasts.
He is a member of Warlukurlangu Artists in Yuendeumu.

Selected Exhibitions:  mid 70’s  Warlukurlangu Artists group exhibition;  198 Sydney Art Gallery;  2003 Group Exhibition in the USA;  2003 Galeria Poznan, Poland
