Elizabeth originates from Hermansburg - “a Western Arrente  lady”.  On her great grandfather’s side, she is a “Warlpiri woman”, and most of her Dreaming story paintings are from his country.

Her paintings depict parts of the Country where people look for bush tucker for food, and bush medicine.  On their travels, they are looking out for ways to fresh water to drink, for finding animals and
bush foods and medicines.

Knowing where the waterholes are, is essential for surviving in the Central Desert  for people who are hunting, gathering and travelling.
